| I'd like some oppinion on what to do here. First check out my build then please weigh in on this subject. With my current HP output I think that my 410 rear end is actually holding me back. I find myself not being able to stay in the power band long enough. With the quick wind-up, Hook-up has been comprimised as well. At 18.5lbs 3rd gear is always "interesting" to say the least. I know a set of Mickey Thompsons would fix this and would probably post some reputable trap times. I just don't drag the car but 1-2times a year. I do have plans to track the car this spring. Is this where I will feel the advantage? This was a hell of a set-up when the car was stage3. All of this chatter lately about leader gears, is this just the stage3-5 guys that are doing it? I'd like to hear some theory and rational behind the switch. The car was set up this way when I got it, and I've never driven the car with the 368 rear anyway. But now I'm not so sure. I have my old rear end diff and sub frame that I'm condidering putting back on the car w/hicas removal bar and ES bushings. This was a "back-up" system if my NA rear set-up ever failed. So far it's holding up nicely with no issues other than it spools up TOO FAST!! If everyone is switching to this 'set-up" is there a BHP limit that equates to diminishing returns? I'm safely at 465rwhp and I don't know that I would recommend this Set-up.
Gotta....Have....More.....Boost!!!!!! OMG that feels sooooo good! |
